Also, just make sure you navigate to a site that has trace outputs coming from a flash file on the page. I know this site that I built does http://www.anson-stoner.com/.

No, it works fine in 10.5.2. That is what I'm running. Make sure you have the debug player installed in the browser you are using.

Hello Jess

Thanks for the details article on FMS.

Can you do me a favor, please attach a screenshot of the Management Console of your Media Server.

Once we configure the Application and Make the instance for the application and make the folder as you have mentioned. I need to know when you click the "View Applications" tab in the console after login. Do you see the items in "shared Objects" and "streams" sub-tab

to sum up... I need the Screen shot of

FMS-Console > View Applications >> Shard Objects
and
FMS-Console > View Applications >> Streams

Asad,

as far as I know you need to use the Flash Media Encoder that comes with FMS. You should be able to use most input devises like a webcam or an attached camcorder. It's tough to say if you can use the input coming from your TV tuner. I sort of doubt it since FMS probably doesn't know how to read from that source. If its possible you might just want to create that as an flv and stream it the the way I mentioned above.

HI Jesse:

First of all great information.

My question to you is that I know FMS works well with 2003 server. But Lets say I am using a video source like a DVD player or VHS and I am trying to stream that to the server. Firstly I would need a TV-Tuner to take in the feed from the source, and most TV tuners do not work well with 2003 server.

Do you have any thoughts on this.

What would be my best option.
Thanks.

I'm not sure about XP but I have it running on Vista with no difficulties. I haven't tried it with XP but I'm sure FMS would work fine with it.
